"
until my Africa is free our friendship must remain
silent
"
Those were the last words I heard Danny Motto say, when I left
South Africa in 1977
I left with his sound tapes and my exposed film material, which
became a television series of international renown.

1968, in the midst of the violence of the Soweto riots, Danny Motto
risked his life to expose the brutal events taking place in his
homeland. Where the international media could not go, Danny went,
and the footage he shot for the NBC sent a shock wave
throughout the world. >>>>
